This sweet family bid on my portraiture session at their schools annual silent auction in Sierra Madre. When Monica called me for her pre-session consultation we had so much fun talking and planning their shoot. When she told me they had two boys ages 6 and 8, I asked her if they had any special sentimental toy. She said yes, their fire truck. We decided they should bring it on the day of the shoot. It was the perfect moment with the sun setting behind them to capture the beautiful colors and freeze a moment in time! The boys will outgrow their fire truck but this photo will always bring back a sweet time in their life. Keeping a photo shoot “fun” for kids can sometimes be challenging, so to keep the boys entertained I suggested they jump off a log pretending to be their favoriite super heroes. Success! They had a blast! At the end of the day, the family photo of the four of them with the truck ended up being their favorite!
