A destination photo shoot becomes a dream come true!
I had the opportunity and honor to be the photographer for this adorable family of three. However with summer plans our schedules were not lining up to shoot in their hometown of Valencia/ Los Angeles. CRAZY…we found out that our vacation plans were 30 minutes apart in Punta De Mita and Sayulita, Mexico. A dream session come true!
Our session began inside their beach condo with their little boy Hart. As you can see from the hockey stick and puck this is a Boston Bruins NHL family!!
To break the ice with Hart I bought him a little plush iguana that he fell in love with and in return gave us some of the cutest pictures!
I scouted a gorgeous palm forest for their first location. I especially loved all the leading lines of the trees framing their pictures. From their we went down to the beach and caught magical images at golden hour.
This location was very special to them as they came here when they first fell in love and now as a family!
Shooting with a toddler can sometimes be challenging. I always try to build a connection and trust with your child through special toys, activities, songs, and playfulness. Playing in the sand, holding hands, checking out seashells and just being and feeling relaxed creates magical moments. These authentic joys lead to spontaneity that lead to genuine smiles and laughter. It’s so important to be flexible, patient, and follow a child’s pace. The results will be authentic real photographs.
